Rain tree in Cambodia

Khmer name: អំពិលបារាំង ( ចន្ទគិរឺ )

English name: Albiziasaman or rain tree
Family: MIMOSOIDEAE

Tree characteristic: domestic plant, up to 30m-60m high, with diameter of 100mm - 200mm. They are mostly planted at public area such as school, temple, museum and other public places for shade. The tree is long-lived; age between 80–100 years is average

Flower: pink

Fruit: sweet, cows love it,  not edible for human

Wood: Can be used for furniture or firewood

Benefits: huge shadow
