Visiting Top north of 4 countries prior & during the pandemic

When collecting old memories, I found out that I have traveled to 3 continents so far!

Well, I haven't been to top of the world yet but I was so lucky to have been to the top north of few countries so far.

New Zealand top north, 2014

If you look into the map of New Zealand, you will see Cape Reinga, is the top north of the country where it meets Tasman sea. I saw with my own eyes how the pacific meets with Tasman sea - sea does have its border. Unfortunately, at that time it was raining so I couldn't really get the clear photo from there! Thanks to my friends who brought me there! The kilometers count start from here - 0 Km.

Australia top south, 2015

Well, if you don't count the island of Tasmania, Melbourne would probably the most south of Australia land. Well, I was there in 2015. I visited Sydney, I had jaw dropping when flying over Sydney. The city looks so cool with its standout landmarks of Harbour bridge and Opera House. In Melbourne, I met many Asian and I experienced taking a train at busy hours ;). My article about Melbourne is here, Sydney is here.

Thailand top north, 2019

Yes, just few weeks before Covid-19, I have been to the top north of Thailand, which is Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. I lead a group of community members for the exposure visit to various tourism attractions: homestay, tourism village and weaving center! We had a great time exploring its food, culture, tradition and see life over there!

Above travels were from before the pandemic spread-out around the world. Hence, I also traveled during Covid-19. I did a lot of work related travel in Cambodia in 2020 and also went to US at the end of 2020. I made it back home safe and sound!

Cambodia northern provinces, 2020

Let's not forget about Cambodia. I have been almost everywhere but in one trip, I just had it last year to both Preah Vihear and Stung Treng province. My article on Connect about that trip is here. I have my job to thank for these travelling experiences. I think I have the priviledge that many people cannot get. Preah Vihear and Stung Treng is the northern province but the top northern most probably located in Ratanakkiri province where it is called the Naga tail where Lao, Cambodia and Vietnam meet!

United States of America northern states, 2021

Unlike previous trips, this one I took in the peek of Covid-19 pandemic. I went to Washington for 1 month and it was quite an experience. I witnessed what it was like on the plane. However, it was not too bad. I could add a country in my map that's made me proud but also costly. I went in Winter so I got a chance to go and see the snow, visiting the tourist village as well! It was worth it!
