Siem Reap is famous for its world known temples: Angkor Wat or Bayon but there are much more to see or do than that. I have my previous articles on what to do besides the temple. This article is to share about the gallery belongs to the mad-man (he called himself) who has been collecting stuff for more than 20 years.
Antiques
His place named "Vimean Sokha", he called himself a museum. Google Map is here
He has just moved his gallery from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, for about two months. Major of his collections included:
- Camera
- Bicycles
- Bikes
- Watches and clocks
- TV and many other things.
Each set has up to 1,000 pieces or more. 10% of the items in stock are from locals and 90% are from overseas, including from UK.
It is worth a visit - let's me tour you around the compound.
Layout of the gallery:
- Antiques are shown in two buildings are connected to one another.
- There is a café for you when you are tired from seeing around.
Entrance Tickets
- 1$ for locals
- 5$ for foreigners
Touring time
- Self exploratory with 1-2hours at most
