Kaavan, the lonelinest elephant in the world is in Cambodia safe and sound

The social media in Cambodia is getting viral on the arrival of Kaavan, the 36 years male elephant being sent to Cambodia after lived in captivity in Pakistan for 35 years. He was born in Nepal and was given to Pakistan as a gift since he was one year old.

The story of him gets so much attention from the world and press when the American singer named Cher started the campaign to free him from the chains.​ His story can be found in here.

He is now being kept at Oddar Meanchey province to get him used to the atmosphere.

I don't know why the court decided to send him to Cambodia. They said no wildlife sanctuary in Pakistan but anyway, we welcome him wholeheartedly. Kaavan will spend the rest of his life in Cambodia's jungle with other elephants. News about him in new home can be found here.
